We have just made our bi-annual donation to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and Wildlife Rescue Unit located in Sepilok, Sabah, Borneo. To ensure our money goes straight to the rehabilitation and care of the animals in the centre, we send the money direct, and are confident to tell you that not a single penny gets soaked up in stinky admin fees!
Last week a member of our Borneo booking office, Nina, personally visited Sepilok and presented one of the workers there with a cheque for $524 AUD. This money will go to the care of the orphaned orangutans that many of our customers have had the pleasure of visiting, as well as the small (but growing) number of orphaned Pygmy Elephants that have been rescued over the last year or so, who also drastically need our help! Baby elephants drink A LOT of milk which is expensive in Malaysia, so they solely relay on donations in order to keep them alive and well.
