Description
Sail the beautiful blue Danube on a relaxing cruise through Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary. Start in Vienna, a city of music and history. Walk through grand palaces, enjoy a coffee at a famous café, and take in the charm of Austria’s capital. Then, set sail through the Wachau Valley, a stunning stretch of the river lined with vineyards and historic villages. Stop at Melk Abbey, a masterpiece of Baroque design, before exploring the medieval streets of Dürnstein, where legend says Richard the Lionheart was once held captive.
Cross into Slovakia and step into Bratislava, a city filled with history and charm. Wander through its Old Town, admire the castle on the hill, and soak in the lively atmosphere of its squares and cafés.
In Hungary, experience the Puszta plains, where you’ll see a traditional horse show in this unique landscape. Then, arrive in Budapest, often called the “Pearl of the Danube.” Explore Buda Castle, soak in famous thermal baths, and stroll through bustling market halls. In the evening, enjoy a special night of Hungarian music and dance. The journey continues to Esztergom, home to Hungary’s largest basilica, standing proudly above the river.
Back in Vienna, visit the Hofburg Palace, the elegant Schönbrunn Castle, and the world-famous Konzerthaus concert hall. As the beautiful blue Danube cruise ends, take in one last breathtaking view of the Danube, a river that has inspired poets, composers, and travellers for centuries.
