Description
Experience the Amazon River Cruise where each sunrise unveils new wonders of the vast rainforest. As you wake, sunlight dances on winding rivers, revealing endless greenery alive with biodiversity. Every day, spot macaws soaring above, playful monkeys leaping in treetops, and striking pink river dolphins gliding at your side. Occasionally, listen for a howler monkey’s call or glimpse sloths, giant river otters, and the rare Amazonian manatee. Sometimes, if luck is with you, jaguars and black caimans may appear amid tangled shorelines.
Throughout your journey, remote stilt villages and lively floating markets adorn the riverbanks. Residents welcome you, sharing stories and traditions during authentic cultural exchanges. Meanwhile, naturalist guides deliver talks on the Amazon’s fascinating ecosystems, its healing medicinal plants, and the challenges faced by wildlife like anacondas, capybaras, and red-bellied piranhas. You will sail through the Anavilhanas Archipelago, the world’s second-largest freshwater archipelago, and Jaú National Park—one of Earth’s richest wildlife havens.
As night falls, the forest comes alive in new ways. Night safaris reveal reflective caiman eyes and chorus of frogs fills the air. From the deck, see the riverbanks teeming with birds or marvel at stargazing under the open sky. As you cruise the Amazon and Rio Negro, enjoy delicious local cuisine, all-inclusive comforts, and close connections to nature. The Meeting of the Waters illustrates the mysterious beauty of this world. An Amazon River Cruise promises unmatched wildlife, fascinating culture, and the unforgettable heartbeat of the rainforest.

CROISI CRUISES
MANDATORY INFORMATION:
This exploration cruise is not recommended for persons with reduced mobility.
Embarkation and disembarkation from motorized boats are frequent, and some walks may take place on uneven, sloping, or rocky terrain.
CANCELLATION & REFUNDS:
This package is subject to Croisi’s terms and conditions.
By purchasing this package, you agree to Croisi’s terms and conditions as well as MyHoliday2’s terms and conditions.
TIPS:
Gratuities are at the discretion of passengers.
Tipping practices vary widely between countries and cultures. At CroisiEurope, tips are distributed equally among all crew members. This gesture from our passengers reflects their appreciation for the quality of service and attention they have received throughout their cruise, at every level.
How much should I tip?
A tip of €5 to €10 per person per day is a common guideline, but each passenger is, of course, free to give any amount they feel appropriate.
For your convenience, an envelope will be placed in your cabin on your final evening aboard. You can leave it in the designated box at the reception desk when you disembark.
This information applies to river and sea cruises operated by vessels in the CroisiEurope fleet.
INFORMATION
Navigation is subject to weather conditions, which may impact the planned itinerary. In certain cases, intermediate stops may be cancelled. Should this occur, CroisiEurope will make every effort to offer an alternative that meets passengers’ expectations.
For safety reasons, the company and the ship’s captain reserve the right to alter the cruise itinerary at any time.
This cruise is entirely dedicated to the exploration of protected areas within the Amazon rainforest. Life on board is cantered around wildlife observation and discovery along the rivers and waterways, where nature puts on a continuous show. Safety instructions will be given upon arrival and must be strictly followed — especially the rule forbidding passengers from leaving the boat outside of organized excursions, as the cruise takes place in the heart of the wild Amazon, where wildlife is abundant.
While every effort will be made to ensure wildlife and bird sightings, no guarantee can be given.
*Excessive alcohol consumption is harmful to your health. Please drink responsibly.

HEALTH
Note: The following information is based on official guidelines from the French government website www.diplomatie.gouv.fr, updated on 20/05/25. It is provided for reference only and may change. It does not anticipate the sovereign application of entry regulations by the visited countries or by airlines.
No mandatory vaccinations are required, except for travelers arriving from countries where yellow fever is endemic. These travelers must show proof of vaccination (up-to-date vaccination card or certificate) upon arrival at the airport or border crossing. It is also recommended to be up to date with standard vaccinations (diphtheria-tetanus-polio, hepatitis A and B).
Depending on local travel conditions, vaccinations against typhoid and viral hepatitis A and B may also be advisable. Antimalarial treatment is recommended (consult your physician). Tropical-grade mosquito repellents are strongly advised. A consultation with a general practitioner before departure is highly recommended.
CLIMATE
Manaus has a tropical climate characterized by a natural cycle of rising and falling river waters. Humidity is high year-round, and tropical showers can occur, often in the form of brief daytime downpours. The highest temperatures are typically recorded during the low-water season. In September, for example, temperatures range from 25°C in the morning to 33°C in the afternoon. The air can feel relatively dry at this time, although sudden tropical rains are still possible.
PAYMENT METHODS
The official currency in Brazil is the real (BRL), symbolized as R$. Additional onboard expenses are settled at the end of the cruise and can be paid in cash in Brazilian reals, euros, or US dollars. Credit card payments are not possible, due to unreliable network connectivity on the river.
EQUIPMENT (non-exhaustive list)
Lightweight, waterproof, and non-slip hiking shoes (for forest walks). For the boat and beach: flip-flops, sandals, tennis shoes, or boat shoes.
Comfortable and light clothing for the day: lightweight trousers, bermuda shorts, skirts, t-shirts, and cotton shirts or clothes suitable for hot, humid weather. Long sleeves and trousers (recommended for protection).
Waterproof windbreaker or poncho, and a light sweater.
Swimsuit.
Cap or wide-brimmed hat.
Waterproof backpack or dry bag and waterproof cases for electronic devices.
Personal first-aid kit.
