Join us on this special ANZAC Day tour to honour the fallen and remember those who served bravely in the pacific and Sandakan during WWII. In 1995 the Australian Government and the Sandakan Family, a group of families of prisoners of war, came together to develop the Sandakan Memorial Park. The park is located adjacent to the original Sandakan Prisoner of War Camp (POW) and commemorates the tragedy of the events of WWII. Approximately 2400 British and Australian soldiers lost their lives at the POW camp and on the subsequent ‘Death Marches’ that took place between 1942 and the end of the war in 1945.
As we reflect upon the great sacrifice given of our young Australians on ANZAC Day 2025, we invite you to share this time in Borneo, to thank the people of this nation who supported the allied cause relentlessly and hid and protected escaped POW’s. Sure to be an emotional and sombre experience for those who attend, you will visit a number of poignant sites throughout Sabah including: the Cleary Monument in Ranau, the Last Camp in Ranau and the Kundasang War Memorial Park.
Our itinerary also showcases the unique wildlife and landscapes of Sabah. Cruise the Kinabatangan River, Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, the Sun Bear Conservation Centre and Kinabalu National Park. This tour will be a special way to visit a country that is forever steeped in our Australian War History and to acknowledge the special relationship of our two countries as well as time to enjoy Borneos wonderful wildlife.

Name changes are not permitted. All flight tickets are subject to the airline’s terms and conditions.

CHILDREN POLICY:
Children under the age of 2 travel free of charge except airline taxes
Children aged 2-9 at time of travel will require a child voucher:

AMENDMENTS:

Any changes will incur a $100 per person amendment fee PLUS any additional fees applied by the supplier.

No changes can be made within 90 days of departure. The standard cancellation policy will apply.
