Tour the North Island, the birthplace of the country’s European history. This journey takes you from the shores of the beautiful Bay of Islands to Rotorua, rich in Māori culture and traditions, and onto the spectacular scenery of Tongariro National Park the thriving modern capital, Wellington.
Enjoy a cruise in the Bay of Islands to ‘Hole in The Rock’. Take in stunning views as you glide through the islands and along the Rakaumangamanga Peninsula. According to Māori legend, local warriors used to paddle through the Hole in the Rock in their canoes before departing for battle. Keep an eye out for dolphins, whales and other marine life, and have your camera ready as you get up close to the action.
Other highlights includes a visit to the Tamaki Maori Village for a show and dinner. Tamaki Maori Village is a wonderful insight into the culture both past and present of the Maori people. You will also visit Waitomo Glow Worm caves and the incredible Huka Falls at Taupo.
